  1. Kia ora Zara. I'm a facilitator in Auckland. What a great idea to introduce your blog. This will be really useful for students who are new to blogging. Do you have any tips on how to get more people reading and commenting on your blog?

  2. Kia ora Phil,
Thank you for commenting on my blog. I had a brief look on your 'Welcome to Ruma rua tekau ma rua' blog, and I found it very interesting, the best part was reading your introduction to your blog, very engaging.
Some tips for getting more people reading your blog is to: post as often as you can, asking a question in the blurb section of a post, replying to comments and making sure that their is not too much information but not too little.
I have been blogging since 2018, so I have learnt heaps. When did you start blogging?

    1. I think I started blogging in 2015 when my class first got Chromebooks. Thanks for those tips I will pass them on to the students I work with. Have you done an activity on Google Sheets where you can make graphs to show your blog activity?

  3. Hi Zara,
I am a teacher in Christchurch and I have been given your amazing blog post to learn use while we are learning about google hangouts at a DFI course (Digital Fluency Intensive). I loved having a tour, I can tell that you are a confident blogger for sure! I am keen to show this to my class. I wonder, did you engage in a lot of online learning during lockdown? Keep up the awesome blogging!

  4. Hi Zara
I am also a teacher in Christchurch, from Wigram Primary and have discussed your blog post whilst learning about Google Meet as part of Digital fluency initiative. I found your tour of your blog extremely useful and will show my class of Year 1 children when I am back at school next week. You are a confident presenter and obviously have a lot of experience in blogging. From the labels you use I can see that reading is something you blog a lot about.
    Thank you again,
    Rachael Hefferman

    1. Hola Mrs Hefferman,
Thank you for commenting on my blog.
I am so glad you are sharing my tour/learning to to other people especially children.
At the start, I used to be really bad at Screencastify and felt quite uncomfortable when I did one, so I tried to avoid it. But now, I have practised, got better and felt more comfortable when doing them. Have posted a Screencastify on your blog before?
      Enjoy your DFI courses.
