I have been reading books over the last 8 weeks and here are all of them.
Have you read any of these books?
Do you recommend any that I could read after Awful Auntie?

Hi Zara,
ReplyDeleteWell done on continuing to read throughout lockdown. They say reading 20 minutes a day can support and progress your Literacy.
Have you read 'Gangster Granny' or 'World's Worst Children'? Darion is a good person to ask about David Walliams as he loves reading his books.
I have read Gangster Granny with my class before - it funny, creative and a great story about an adventure in London.
Who is your favourite author?
Thanks for sharing,
Miss McCombie
Kia ora Miss McCombie,
DeleteI always read for 30 minutes each night before I go to sleep as instead of my brain thinking about the day, I think about what I have just read from the last chapters of the book. How often do you read?
I have read 'Gangster Granny' twice and watched the movie twice, I enjoyed it, but not as much as the other David Walliams books.
I once started reading 'The Worlds Worst Children' but did not enjoy it, maybe because it did not have much of a story line but more made up and describing words that put a disgusting picture in my head.
I have now finished 'Awful Auntie' and now I am reading 'Demon Dentist' even though, Leandri got freaked out about the Dentist from reading it, I think I will give it a try.
My favourite author would be J.K. Rowling as her creativity, describing language is phenomenal and I just so thoroughly enjoy her books, like what many other people do.
What is your favourite book?

Hi Zara what a great selection of books you have been reading. I love reading too,it is a rewarding passtime.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting that you enjoyed a book by an author that you hadn't previously enjoyed that much. I have found the same in my reading as well. I usually read book reviews from a trusted source before I purchase a book now.
Well done Gran
Kia ora Zara
ReplyDeleteI love how you not only said what you´ve read but also a little blurb about what you think of it and what ages you think it would be suitable. I have been listening to audiobooks since I´ve read basically every single book at home. What book are you reading now and what would you like to read?
Amy
Hello Amy,
DeleteAudibooks are quite good too, but I find the people that talk are far too slow for me.
Right now, I am reading Harry Potter and the Cursed Child which is like 19 years later after him being at Hogwarts, it is written in a play script.
What is your all time favourite book?
