My Saturday

I had a pretty good weekend, I did some stuff but also had time to relax but I had a great Saturday.

This is what I did...

On Saturday morning, I went to Board Training at Corsair Bay which is flat water training on a Surf Life Saving Board. We trained for 1 1/2 hours on the flat, luke warm water.

The highlight of my Saturday afternoon was going to Library and issuing some books . Three of the books I issued was by one of my favourite authors Des Hunt. He is a kiwi author from Palmerston North and has won a few awards for some of his novels. Some of my favourites he has written are Search For A Kiwi Killer, Red Edge, To Trap A Thief and Deadly Feathers. Trust me, these are a must read!

  1. Hello Zara,
I really like this log post and let me tell you why. I really like how interesting your sentences were I really like that. I also like how you added photos of what you did and how you said what the photo was underneath. Maybe Next time you could talk about what you did at Surf life Saving. Good Job.

  2. Kia Ora Zara,
It sounds like you had an interesting Saturday! I like how you explain what some of your favourite books are and who made them. You taught me that Des Hunt is a kiwi author from Palmerston North and that he has won some awards. Maybe you could add which novels he got awards for. Other than that this is great! Which book is your favourite out of those three?

  3. Hello Zara!
    Your weekend sounds so interesting!
You are so talented being able to surf and do all that stuff,
    I can't even swim.
I will try and read some of those books off your recommendation,
they sound pretty cool and I think I have seen one of those books in the library before.
The kiwi killer sounds like a good one,
I'm pretty sure they are like rats or something right?
    Anyways,
    Your work is great!
I hope you have a great day!

  4. Hi Zara
Thanks for sharing a snapshot of your weekend. It sounds like it would've been a great day for Surf Life Saving training.
You seem to read a lot of books. Of Des Hunt's books, Which one would you recommend the most for my Y7&8 students to read?
    Great post!
